What is a check-in?

Check-ins are a set of questions you can ask your team, about things that matter. Your team can answer these questions (asynchronously) and you can see their responses.

Check-ins are powerful tools to run stand-ups, sprint ceremonies, prepare 1-to-1 meetings, share feedback and much more.

How can check-in's help my team?

When you share a check-in with your team, you help them:

- Get time back that would have been spent in meetings.
- Be clear and aligned on the teams, and each others priorities.
- Share feedback and thoughts in a safe space.

How does it work?

Running a check-in with your team is simple.

- You create a check-in and schedule it.
- The check-in is shared with your team and they post their answers.
- When the check-in is complete, the answers and updates are shared with everyone.

Do I have to use another tool again?

No, there is need to jump to a new platform if you use Slack. MyCheckins will directly integrate into your Slack workspace and let your team answer check-ins and view updates within Slack. You can also use MyCheckins as a stand-alone platform if you wish to.

Pricing

Do I have to pay to use this?

No. MyCheckins is free for all users who join now - in the beta phase. All users who sign up right now will have free access to the product forever.

What is the beta phase?

When the product is still in it's early stages, we refer to it as the beta phase. you can read more here. We're learning from our customers and shipping new features every other week.

Will I be charged after the beta phase is over?

Running a check-in with your team is simple.

- You create a check-in and schedule it.
- The check-in is shared with your team and they post their answers.
- When the check-in is complete, the answers and updates are shared with everyone.

Do I have to use another tool again?

Not at all! You will always have full access to the product. It's just our way of thanking you for joining us early in our journey. :)

Product and Usage

How do I get MyCheckins?

You can get MyCheckins by clicking on the "Sign Up" button at the top of this page.

If you will be using MyCheckins with Slack, you can look for us by visiting https://slack.com/apps and searching for "MyCheckins", or clicking on "Add Apps" in your Slack sidebar and searching for "MyCheckins".

It just takes 2 minutes to set up!

Do I sign up with Slack or Email?

If you use Slack with your team, click on "Sign-up with Slack" to add MyCheckins to your workspace and run your check-ins on Slack.

If you do not use Slack, click on "Sign up with Email" to use the MyCheckins web app and run check-ins over email.

How does a check-in work?

A check-in follows three simple steps.

1. Create your check-in
Add questions, pick a schedule and select who you want to share it with.

2. Share and answer
When it's time, your team will receive a reminder. They can add their answers.

3. View the results
Once the check-in is complete, you and your team can view all updates in one place.

Will my team get too many notifications?

We give you full control over what you want to be notified about. We only send notifications for things that are actually important for you. And even then, you have an option to turn that off if you wish too.

Is there a limit on teams or check-ins?

In the beta phase - no. You can create as many teams and check-ins as you wish. You will never be limited on the number of teams or check-ins.

Can I assign user roles?

Yes. There are three user roles - workspace owners, team leads and team members. Each role comes with it's own privileges and actions.

1. Workspace owners - For CEO's/Founders/Executives
2. Team Leads - For managers and team leaders
3. Team Members - For individual contributors and members

Support and Privacy

How safe is my data?

Privacy and security are our top priority. Our Slack bot meets all Slack privacy compliance requirements. Our servers are hosted on AWS, where they are protected by the highest standards of privacy and security. You can read more here.

How do I report a bug?

Reporting a bug is simple and easy. You can help us make the product better for all users with one single report. You can take the following steps to report bugs:

- Take a screenshot of the error.
- Hop on to our Contact Page and share a quick description of what's happening.
- We will reach out to you right away with an update.
- Our team will get on it and fix it as soon as we can!
